Top Entertainments:
Welcome to TOP CHAT Mr. AT
A.T
Thank you very much for having me!
Top Entertainments:
You welcome, so can you please start by telling us your complete name?
A.T
My full name is Ayuba Tete.
Top Entertainments:
Thank you, so can you tell us and the fans out there when you started music and how?
A.T
I started singing for fun when I was 11 in Baptist high school,Jos; singing special numbers. But I took it even more serious in SS2 @ my new school, when a friend had a drum machine and a keyboard where we could make our own beats.
Top Entertainments:
Wow! It’s been long, so what really inspired you to choose music and not banker, actor, comedian, lawyer or a doctor?
A.T
Music is NOT my career OoO! I have a day Job; I work as a producer for a television station. I studied Fine Art in ABU, so that makes me a professional artist! Music has been my "companion" through all this. And truth be told; music is expensive, so u need to be doing something else to facilitate it!
Top Entertainments:
Wow! This is so cool...
So what were your main challenges before now?
A.T
Initially,it was basically moral support! Then as time went on,music became expensive,so challenges became financial...
Top Entertainments:
That was before though, so what are the challenges you are currently facing?
A.T
Its two fold: on one hand, there’s the loss of musical integrity in Nigerian music in general. Its now more about the "effizy" attached to the music more than the music itself. by "effizy" I mean, Who did the beat, Who shot your video, how much it cost, ETC...Then the other is the ability to make money from your music because Music itself doesn't pay anymore; Marketers don't pay the artistes, so you're left with shows. And unless u have a VERY well connected manager, chances of landing a good paying show is very slim!
Top Entertainments:
Thank you, we look forward to getting together and solve it. But how do you think those challenges can be solve once and for all?
A.T
One: if government would enforce and protect the Laws that protect the artistes, and if the various associations that are involved with music and musicians are strengthened.
Top Entertainments:
Thank you... So how many songs have you recorded so far?
A.T
From when I started recording till date? Over 100.but a lot of them are unreleased
Top Entertainments:
Wow! That’s really a number...
Can you tell us the kind of music you do and the type of message you give out?
A.T
Its basically RnB/naija PoP...but my sound is getting more mature now; leaning towards urban contemporary. And in my songs, I like to tell stories and touch subjects that entertain and inspire at the same time!

Top Entertainments:
People tends to take all celebrities are womanizers, what can you say about that?
A.T
I won't blame them for saying that, beacuse truly they attract women...whether intentionally or unintentionally. I've always tried to prove to people some are different (such as myself),but its hard to convince them!
Top Entertainments:
Wow! So what are your greatest achievements so far?
A.T
I won "artiste of the year" at the NoLimit Arewa Awards, and I won 1st runner-up for a National song writing competition and had the opportunity to perform in front of the then president obasanjo, minister El-rufai,and other dignitaries.
Top Entertainments:
Wow! How can you call your achievements in one word?
A.T
Blessed!
Top Entertainments:
Thank you... We wish to have you next on Top Chart... It has been a pleasure charting with you
A.T
